If you are around CentrePoint for any length of time, you are almost guaranteed to hear the words, Apprentice to Jesus. We believe that Jesus is calling us to apprentice to him by following him, spending time with him, becoming like him, and doing the things he did. A very practical way to do this is through prayer and fasting.

Over the last number of years we have entered a season of prayer and fasting corresponding to Lent. Through these focused times of prayer we have seen God move in incredible ways.

This year, we are desiring to deepen our love for one another and to deepen our experience of community together. That doesn’t happen without prayer. The scripture that is inspiring us comes from Acts 4v24, 32-35 which says:
…all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God… All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.
